How To Grow Long Hair - 5 Things You Need To Follow
So lately I've been getting a lot of messages regarding my hair routine, how my hair has grown this long, which shampoo or oil I use, etc. For those who are curious regarding my hair length; it is 44 inches!
Hence in this blog, I would like to give 5 simple things that you can easily follow and in turn, they will help you in some way or another.
1. Avoid Excessive Heat - Firstly, I will recommend you NOT TO straighten or curl your hair on daily basis! The heat damages your hair to the extent that hair fall may start. In my case, I only straight my hair when there's a close wedding or my birthday. Moreover, I have never curled my hair. I have straightened my hair only 4 times till now! Yes, because am 16. Therefore, you should resist using unnatural ways to make your hair look beautiful. They are naturally amazing.
2. Tie your hair - Whenever your hair is open, they fall off, and eventually, you lose your precious hair. Do a braid or something stylist in which you won't have to leave your hair open. Most importantly, never leave your hair open while you're sleeping! Always tie up your hair before going to bed. As for me, my mother always used to tie my hair into two braids. Thanks, Mom & didi 💝 Also, it was mandatory in my school that the girls have to do ribbon braids (as shown in the picture below). Hence we were not allowed to do anything stylish to our hair.
3. Apply Oil - In order to nourish your hair, use oil. Like we need food to survive, our hair also needs nourishment to be healthy. If you don't like oily hair; then try to apply oil before washing your hair. Do this at least one day a week! Again, most importantly, SKIP THE DAILY SHAMPOO! I apply oil to my hair after washing my hair and then drying my hair; on Sundays. Try to use oil with fewer additives. The one that I recommend is Coconut oil. 4. Get frequent trims - It may sound counter-intuitive, but if you want long hair that's actually healthy, you need to get regular trims. While haircuts don't make your hair grow any faster; they get rid of split ends that break your hair. Eliminating the breakage gives the appearance that your hair is growing faster.
5. Eat the right foods- Having long hair, strong hair doesn't just depend on which products you put on your hair; it also depends on what you put into your body. Research says that a protein-rich diet helps to grow your hair thicker and longer. Hence, try increasing your protein intake with foods like pulses ( if you're vegetarian) and meat, fish, etc. (if you are non-vegetarian)
I hope that this might help you. All the best!
